I designed and built this chair while I was studying furniture design in Copenhagen. I learned about Scandinavian design principles and explored the works of Arne Jacobsen. Throughout his career, Jacobsen abstracted the form of certain objects within his furniture (see egg, ant, and swan chairs). Inspired by Jacobsen, I abstracted the form of the human vertebra to create a minimal, ergonomic chair that supports your back in the perfect place.
