I worked on this series while severely concussed during the Spring term of my freshman year. I leave the interpretation up to the viewer, as several people have often proposed explanations with which I do not disagree but did not intend to provoke. That said, I was inspired by the interconnected dynamics within our neurobiology, relationships to others, and physical geographies, and in particular, how simple these complicated dynamics appear when the onlooker stands at a distance.
Materials: ink, an etched copper plate, and maps given to me by the Jones Media Center.
